How do different cultures imagine and narrate technology? Through research and critical practice, I examine the prevailing frameworks—imaginative, pedagogical, discursive—that shape how we talk about and teach computing, and ask how else these conversations might proceed as they cross cultural and disciplinary boundaries.

I'm a PhD student in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego, based between Seoul, Korea and San Diego, CA. Previously, I developed interactive microbiology systems as a researcher at Stanford University and earned an MFA from UCLA Design Media Arts, where I created video installations and interactive systems exploring the cultural mechanics surrounding generative AI.
현재 서울과 샌디에이고를 오가며 UC 샌디에고에서 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용(HCI) 연구를 진행하고 있다. 이전에는 스탠퍼드 생물공학 대학원에서 교육용 미생물 실험 시스템을 개발했고, UCLA 디자인 미디어 아트 대학원에서 생성적 인공지능을 둘러싼 문화적 역학을 탐구하는 영상 설치와 인터랙티브 시스템을 제작했다.
