How do different cultures imagine, represent, and narrate technology and its trajectory? I approach this question by studying the role of imaginative and conceptual framing in technological discourse and pedagogy, focusing on movements at cultural boundaries.
하나의 문화가 어떤 식으로 기술을 표현/표상하고, 배우고, 상상해나가는지 궁금증이 많다. 특히 문화 외곽이나 여러 문화들이 섞이는 지점에서 발생하는 기술과 얽힌 사건들에 관심있다.
Currently I’m a PhD student in Cognitive Science at UCSD. Previously, I developed interactive microbiology systems as a researcher at Stanford University and earned my MFA from UCLA Design Media Arts, where I created works about database-based image generation.
현재 UCSD의 인지과학 대학원에서 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용(HCI) 연구를 진행 중이다. 이전에는 스탠포드 대학원에서 교육용 미생물 실험 시스템을 연구/개발했고 UCLA 디자인 미디어 아트 대학원에서 데이터베이스적 이미지 생성에 대한 작업을 했다.
